I joined Yahoo Small Business while they were in the midst of preparing for a planned spin-off from Yahoo. Responsible for brand management and messaging, I developed the brand voice and communications for two re-branding campaigns within five months. (It’s a long story.) I work cross-functionally on a daily basis to develop messaging for product releases to our nearly 1M subscribers, and manage our customer communications and acquisition email calendar consisting of approx. 46 million unique email sends within 60+ email campaigns a year. I update website, social, and display ad content, while happily tackling new challenges in an ever-changing environment.

An unexpected move to Silicon Valley brought me to Tanjarine, a TouchTunes Company. As Marketing Operations Manager at an early B2B startup, I worked within cross-functional teams to increase brand awareness of tabletop technology. I often acted as the brand ambassador for the company, ensuring brand consistency among all aspects of the organization, our products, and communications. Tanjarine sadly closed its doors in April 2015, as its parent company, TouchTunes, was sold.

Re-Election Campaign- Surrogate Program Director (March 2014- June 2014)Developed program to garner public support from high-level community leaders (Surrogates) for the re-election campaign of Florida Governor Rick Scott. Developed communications plan for recruitment into the program, drafted talking points, opinion pieces and weekly communications throughout first four months of the campaign. Communications Manager (October 2012- March 2014)Participated in all aspects of external and internal communications for the Office of Florida Governor Rick Scott. Responsibilities changed daily but most often included drafting and editing speeches for the Governor, managing social media initiatives, planning and executing 2-4 weekly public events across the state, and personally communicating new initiatives to the Governor at weekly team meetings.

Worked tirelessly during the three months leading up to the convention to encourage a National "Convention Without Walls." Utilized email and social marketing to promote a mobile application that opened up the walls of the convention floor to supporters across the country.

Advertising & Web Design I assisted professor with administrative duties for lecture course of 400+ undergraduate students, while completing my Graduate Degree. I updated the course textbook with information pertaining to new media and technology, and held office hours for students needing additional help.

Graduate Residency as part of MS programAs the marketing and communications liaison for Moffitt's Center for Women's Oncology, I worked closely with the Marketing & PR Department to obtain exposure for the center, specifically through website redesign, content strategy, and social marketing.

Director of Public Relations (March 2009- February 2010)As spokesperson for the largest student-run philanthropy at FSU, I educated the media and the community about the cause, Children's Miracle Network, and the weekend-long event, Dance Marathon. The philanthropy raised over $450,000 and received positive media coverage across the greater Tallahassee area.Assistant Marketing Director (March 2008- February 2009)I developed the sponsorship program for the Dance Marathon at FSU philanthropy, raising over $300,000 for the Children's Miracle Network. I created all marketing collateral and participated in monthly community events to increase awareness of the event and the cause.

As an intern for Atlantic Records, I managed social media content for pop, rock and R8B artists. I spent the Summer learning from the best in the growing, new-media department, while expanding my horizons from Tallahassee, FL to New York City.
