I am a Year Up student, currently furthering my education in Customer Service and Sales. I am thrilled to be a part of this program because I know that it can contribute to my future in a positive way. I have the best instructors and service managers who are supporting myself and classmates every step of the way, by making sure that we succeed. I am honored to be grouped around supportive and positive people, that has genuinely invested effort and time into my future. I have been matched with E-Trade as my internship for this coming January. Not only am I excited to start, but I am also more than blessed to have earned this opportunity. I assure to myself that I am going to take advantage of what I have at hand.Aside from Year Up, I graduated from Walter H. Dyett high school, managing to keep a 3.1 GPA. I also played for the Dyett Eagles varsity basketball team, which has helped with communication skills, team leading skills and critical thinking skills. I have always been open to learning new things and developing new skills that is why I chose to participate on the team. I am a very creative person; I am very skilled in coming up with great ideas. I often find myself creating, whether if it is physical or mental. I create clothing designs, poetry and music. I have left a lot of people flabbergasted with the ideas and creations I come up with. That only motivates me to keep going and think more outside of the box. My mind is always active and ready for something new, so whatever I am feeling at that moment I express it in creativity.Overall, I am a fun and outgoing person. I love family-oriented things such as, watching movies, going out to eat, vacations, and park walks. I have 1 brother and that's almost my best friend. I am the example setter for him. I show him what to do and what not to do. Sometimes with him being the youngest he feels like he doesn't have to listen to me, which is fine for the moment, but he'll understand later. I always look to lead by example so someone can learn from me and do the same. All that does is help the younger kids want to be leaders when they're grown up. I love teaching and helping people that has always been one of my passions.
