I worked as part of a team who planned, managed and created events from intimate weddings to large-scale conferences and full-houses. As an Event's Executive in a 5-star Estate, my role saw many responsibilities attached to it. For example, building and maintaining positive relationships with clients, understanding their needs and exceeding expectations, developing and present compelling proposals that showcase our venue and services. Also, managing all aspects of the event lifecycle, from initial inquiry to post-event follow-up. Including, overseeing event logistics, including space arrangements, catering, audio-visual equipment, and vendor coordination while ensuring adherence to budget and timeline constraints. Managing event contracts along with keeping accurate records and reporting was my forte. I implemented a seamless integration between physical and digital records to allow ease and functionality of record keeping for the coming years.

Starting in Julie & Co as an intern was instrumental to my career progression.As an Intern my role was to support the Wedding Planners and Manager on the day of the Wedding from set up, to calling cues to tear down and everything in-between.As I progressed in the company, I then managed interns and trained them in. My role expanded to pre and post event for site visits and client meetings to finalise details. On the day I would be the point of contact between vendors and client, I would communicate with my assistant planner and intern in terms of running order for the day, set up required, tear down of the event and brief them on the client that we would be dealing with for the day.

As the Restaurant Manager, I was in charge of a team of 20 employees in which manual handling and food safety training must be conducted prior to commencement of work. My role consisted of managerial duties such as organising employee breaks, depositing the profits of the cash to the bank daily, rotating work station training to ensure each employee is crossed-trained. However, one element I am proud of is implementing staff recognition in the store. This could be seen from our weekly staff food and drink recommendations or the playlist chosen by the employees that day to the employee choosing which work station they would prefer to work on every Friday. Although this seems miniscule, it enticed my employees throughout the week.
