Hi! My name is Ethan and I love to make computer programs. I like to dabble with multiple programming languages, but I'd say I'm most comfortable in python. I'm currently working towards my bachelor's degree in Computer Science at UC Merced. I want to eventually pursue a career in Computer Software, either working on applications or on backend software. I have yet to take my upperclassmen programming classes, but I really wanted to make some cool programs so I ended up self-teaching my self some concepts (and a few programming languages) so I could pursue my goals.

  Worked here part-time as a coding coach. I taught younger kids the basic ideas of programming using platforms like scratch, or python (with Turtle graphics). I often did hour long one on one sessions, where I hand-crafted small little programming projects for the students to make, and I guided them through the process (and weaved in the ideas).I was responsible for teaching a few students (around 8) every week, and I met with them once a week on site (or on zoom if they couldn't make it in person. After the sessions, I wrote up a small report on the student's progress for their parents to read.
