Currently working on major NetEng projects within the Core Network team at Zen.- Work on a Greenfield DC build, including vendor discussions for core network nodes that may be suitable for requirements, fibre path discussions (KLMs, Overlapping Fibres with current runs, DC Chamber Ducts for fully diverse fibres), speaking with IXPs, Transit providers and more. - Work on the exchange expansion to 700 exchanges throughout the UK, this project involved working with the key areas: Netbox, Azure DevOps (Updating Jinja templates and completing pushes to live production devices), Clearpass, BGP. - Complete a migration of 500 IPVPN circuits from an old legacy device to our newly built plexus network; this work included: Collating all of the information to be lift & shifted to the new core devices, pre-building the configuration for L2, L3 (Inc VRRP), to be moved to a Leaf and Spine Network. - Migration of 12 legacy VMs to a main PoP site, again this consisted of a lift and shift with new IPs, VRRP, BGP (Peering/Advertised Routes), Policy-Options and Firewall Filters to be moved over to another Leaf and Spine network, in an alternate location. - Working with Wholesale partners to troubleshoot and onboard new connections, this involved: Q-in-Q (L2 Termination), Policy-Statements, eBGP (Peering/Advertised Routes), Radius/LNS Configuration managed by Github (Staging to Master Merge) for subscriber authentication.- Diagnose and troubleshoot live production issues, speaking with various levels of support (Cisco TAC, Juniper J/ATAC).- Build and configure eBGP peers for peers, CDNs, Caches and new PNI requests that are requested this also included LINX PI discussions for direct fibre runs. - Work alone and with other departments (Infrastructure, DC, NOC etc) for tasks that need to be completed on the core network infrastructure (Network Device decommissions, New network device installations (DWDM Device(s), IP address reclaims and various other tasks).
