About Etha Williams, Phd

I finished my PhD in historical musicology at Harvard University in November 2021 and am excited to be working as Sales Operations Manager at ECA Partners, an executive search firm that specializes in working with PE and other high-growth firms.I am solutions-focused, curious, and thrive in ambiguity. I have extensive experience managing multiple short- and long-term priorities, including writing deadlines; teaching and mentorship work; event-planning; and administrative and managerial duties. I especially enjoy working closely with individuals to help them connect their education and career to their personal goals and values. I am always happy to connect with new folks, and I am especially passionate about talking about work in education, neurodiversity advocacy, housing security, and outdoor conservation. In my spare time, I love rock climbing, backpacking, skiing, yoga, and creative writing. My PhD dissertation project explored the intersections of eighteenth-century music pedagogy, gender, and philosophy. My research and teaching work has been recognized with awards including Harvard's Presidential Scholar and Oscar S. Schaeffer awards.
