I have had the privilege of collaborating with the labs of Ximena Bernal and Catherine Searle as an undergraduate researcher and research assistant.In the Bernal Lab, I investigated frog-biting mosquito preference for frog species and assisted in data collection of Túngara frog mate choice by mating calls from May 2021 to March 2023.In the Searle Lab, I am investigating how skin coloration modulates behavioral fever in Northern leopard frogs, which describes frog’s preference for hotter microclimates when infected. I've also been assisting greatly in data collection on local Batrachochytrium dendrobatidis infection rates in amphibians from March 2023 to the present.

Under the Rosvall Lab at Indiana University Bloomington, I analyzed the intersection between mass and thermoregulation in Tree swallow chicks. I practiced field work with Tree Swallows and their chicks. I learned and performed brain dissections, RNA extractions and isolation, cDNA synthesis, and qPCR over 60 hours. I created and finished graphing and statistical analysis using R for my project. I presented this project at multiple conferences as a poster.
