As part of the Autumn Harp Senior Management team, I lead all aspects of research and development. My responsibilities include overseeing formulation, stability, product safety, regulatory, claims testing, new raw material evaluation and sourcing, process engineering and scale up. Autumn Harp is a custom, turnkey development and manufacturing contractor (OEM) that specializes in developing skincare and color cosmetic technologies, especially OTC products in categories like sunscreen, skin protectant and anti-acne. We also help customers "green-up" their legacy formulas by reformulating to improve natural & organic as well as sustainably sourced ingredient content. We have market leading manufacturing capabilities for lip products, as well as for color cosmetics for face and eyes, cleansers, natural skincare and sunscreen formulations.Previously, I was a manager of the US Eye Makeup lab at L'Oreal. There, I managed teams of scientists to develop and commercialize new mascara, eyeliner and eyebrow products for the global makeup market under a variety of brands, including Maybelline. Our team was responsible for creating, managing and executing a multi-year strategic vision for the eye product technology pipeline.I graduated from Johns Hopkins University in 2010 with a PhD in synthetic organic chemistry. My research focused mainly on the development and validation of asymmetric, catalytic reaction systems. Through the design of novel mechanisms, I synthesized biologically-important drug targets and derivatized currently available therapeutic agents.
