In the UX Design Major at Purdue University, I have completed multiple classes that allow me to learn and practice my skills in a collaborative way. Learning Studio projects allow us to explore and practice new concepts as we learn about them, they're shorter with usually a few each semester. The Experience Studio allows us to work in larger groups sponsored by industry partners that are involved with the work. This allows us to plan, communicate and execute semester-long projects in professional settings with real employees. In addition, we complete courses in social sciences, communications, and various other technological electives.

I worked for Citizens Green Pixel Studios on their intern team. As a UX Design Intern, I was immersed into the experience of design in a larger company. I worked along side 5 other interns, some who had roles in UX Research and UX Development. This role helped me understand the daily processes of a UX Designer in a real setting, mainly in my communication with research and development. This opportunity helped me grow as a designer in a very practical and professional way.

In my time with Continuum, I worked under a 2 person design team and gained immense knowledge on industry standards, research, component architecture, and had many opportunities to help the company redesign slideshows and sales sheets for their rebrand. Working in a startup was a formative experience for me, I saw just about everything that goes in to web application design from start to finish, and I enjoyed my time here.

In my brief stint with WorkFusion, I worked along side the UX Team to illustrate stages of complicated company flows to provide clarity. I also worked closely during the creation of a brand new design system.
