Case-New Holland (CNH Industrial), produces farm and construction equipment. I worked at the Saskatoon, SK R&D facility, which is connected to a large agricultural machinery manufacturing plant. I was a new product design engineer for a type of farm implement called Air Carts. Air Carts are the large tanks towed behind tractors that carry the seed and fertilizer, meter the desired amount and pneumatically convey it out to the drill. Where the drill puts it in the ground.My position was to develop the next generation of product metering technology that will be the heart of the Air Cart. Designing the system through the following stages from ground up: concept creation and development; prototype sourcing and testing; supplier selection; inter-system integration; phased tooling strategy; inter-departmental process management; laboratory and real-world product validation; manufacturing assembly industrialization; sales and marketing information strategy; service and technical documentation support; and lifecycle management.
