Previously a mechanical engineer at Immingham bulk terminal where they import raw materials such as coal, coke and iron ore for the steel making industry.Previously 1 of 2 mechanical engineers in charge of all the mechanical maintenance at the port which includes conveyor systems, gearboxes, fluid drives, Hydraulic systems, Tukan port unloading cranes, raw material bunkers, stackers & reclaimers and various other mechanical equipment. I also work alongside the project team assisting with site project’s & improvements.• Provides maintenance strategy and technical expertise for assigned area both duringand outside normal hours as demanded by Safety and Operational requirements.• Directs and manages the assigned teams.• Formulates specifications , maintenance plans, raises work orders working closelywith procurement to deliver cost effective engineering.• Mentors and develops personnel including T/L, technicians and apprentices.• Formulates and agrees KPI for the assigned equipment with the operationalmanagement.• Manages to agreed budget levels in Minor, Major maintenance and CAPEX.
