The moment of clarity when that answer is crystalized is the driving energy behind engineering, behind finding a new, better way.That same spirit has driven my focus and efforts in automotive work, engineering classes, and often life in general. In my automotive projects, it pushed me to find solutions to keeping a heavily modified car street legal without sacrificing the end goal. It swept me into situations which required entirely new thinking, such as bodywork and electrical drive systems, or replication and replacement of decades old parts from a brand no longer in existence. In classes it motivated me to push on to the end and truly understand what I saw, not just memorize it. It prompts me to find new ways to model parts in SolidWorks, and to learn why one solution didn’t work, but another did, and where else it may help.While my primary experience and interest lies in automotive fields, innovative solutions to new and old problems are always of relevance to me, as it’s impossible to know how far a solution can travel.Through this spark, I have gained plentiful experience in SolidWorks, basic component design, failure analysis, materials testing, and a desire to tinker and discover, and I’m always looking to tinker and discover more!
