Profile bio

About Ethan Cornwell

I recently completed a 26-week software engineering and web design bootcamp through Colorado State University through which I gained the skills necessary to build full stack web applications and websites using JavaScript, React, Express, SQL and more.I am well versed in the manufacturing of pharmaceutical products primarily in a cleanroom environment. In the 8+ years I spent working at Tolmar I gained a great deal of knowledge of the entire process including FDA regulations, Quality Assurance/Control, Safety, Machine Operation and Troubleshooting, Root Cause Analysis, and more.I am a dependable leader but also a team player. My preferred leadership style is more of a supportive role than authoritative, and I prefer listening, advising, and ultimately directing from a position of equality. Since I was young, I've had a strong drive to help others succeed, regardless of my position. I have a strong work ethic (thanks, Dad) and I am reliable and self-motivated. I am always looking for ways to improve and streamline the workflow process for efficiency gains and to increase profit margins. My experience with Lean manufacturing has greatly improved my insight into many aspects of process improvement. Due to the pharmaceutical industry's strict documentation practices, I would consider my attention to detail to be very strong.

Career Break

Initially a self-study environment with a primary focus on the programming language C# and Computer Science in general. In September, 2022 I enrolled in CSU's online web development bootcamp powered by Fullstack Academy. We began with a deep dive into JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, then moved into the Front-End side learning AJAX basics (React, API's, etc). We have since covered the Back-End server side of the stack focusing primarily on Node, Express, and postgreSQL. We are currently in-process of building our final Capstone project, a functioning e-commerce web application showcasing PC parts and peripherals. I successfully graduated in March 2023 and am actively seeking the right employment opportunity.
