My father wants told me the more skills you have the desirable you’ll be. So I started in the trades when I was 16 years old with my father, being a carpenter, and a mechanic I was exposed to it at a very young age and as a kid growing up in rural New Hampshire, you learn to do everything. My first job when I was 15 years old was property management. Most of that would require lawn maintenance pruning and little bit of carpentry. Once I turned 17 I got a job as a carpenter, residing a house and building a porch and replacing windows. Soon I started getting into bigger projects, such as lake homes, bigger, remodels, and new builds. When I turned 19 I decided that I wanted to get work a little bit closer to where I lived so I decided to apply to be a excavator operator for a landscape company doing patios in stone walls. It was great because I was able get tons of experience operating machines on a daily basis. It was a great job, and I got tons of experience but I missed being a carpenter so after three years with that company, I decided to move on and start doing new construction.At 21 I started building high end custom homes frame to finish. The thing I love most about being able to do custom homes that I can put my own creative spin on these projects and be able to work closely with the clients. Being a frame to finish builder I’m able to get experience on all aspects of the construction process. And at the end of the project I’m proud to say that I’ve built the entire home with my own two hands. I pride myself on my attention to detail, and producing a beautiful product for a customer as I would want for myself. So I treat every build, as if it was my own, and my own money that I was spending.
