I'm a software developer open to roles in backend development, database administration, QA Testing, DevOps, firmware, and embedded engineering. My analytical mind and problem solving skills have always shone, especially in mathematics. My passion for programming began in high school with Java courses that covered OOP - my enjoyment of which, lead me to pursue a Bachelor's in the field. My hard work paid off when I landed an intern position at Exchange IT as a backend developer, working with Django, PostgreSQL, and HTMX. In addition, I've taught myself plenty on my own. In 2020, I researched the scripting language AutoHotKey and then wrote some rudimentary scripts, which ended up paying off during the capstone for my Associate's degree where I put my AHK knowledge to use. In 2024, I took extracurricular courses to learn the MERN stack. This was very relevant to my first internship working for a classmate, in which we developed a mobile app for scheduling appointments using MERN. Later, I taught myself HTMX to aid the development of the frontend team and I used my previous knowledge of MVC to learn Django to carry out my duties during my time at Exchange IT.Outside of coding, I have used my problem solving skills and determination to excel at playing piano despite never taking lessons. I plan on putting both my coding and music skills to the test with a gauntlet of certifications in 2025.
