Hi! My name is Ethan Diaz.Coworkers and supervisors would describe me as positive and hardworking. Professional work, photo/video creation and volunteer work make up the major aspects in my life. I've been working as a Staff Accountant, since graduating from the University of Texas at Dallas, with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. In pursuing the degree, it has allowed for the opportunity to develop skills, such as one’s work ethic, but also stressed the importance of integrity and meeting deadlines.Currently, I work full time at Turner, Vedrenne & Howard, P.C.I am comfortable learning new information and proficient with different OS and technology. I also enjoy working with teams and observing their workflow, which can help to develop new skills.I am a QuickBooks Certified User and I have experience in programs such as Thompson Reuter’s tax/accounting software, Microsoft Office, Excel, and SAP 4/HANA.The majority of my work experience is comprised of swim instruction, team supervision and some client communication, at the Jim Montgomery Swim School. At the swim school, I started as a part-time instructor and front desk reception. Eventually, the front desk position was traded for the role of a Deck Supervisor. Teaching and supervising heavily relies on one’s efficiency. It also emphasizes time management and communication skills, to effectively teach varying ages in an allotted time, and to communicate warmly and concisely with parents as well as other instructors during busy periods.
