Ethan Dunlop Email and Phone Number
I began my journey in the Graphic Design Industry in 2020 as a Design Apprentice at Battle Stations Lochmaben, and since then, I’ve honed my skills in software like Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Premier Pro, and Procreate. From 2022-2024, I studied Visual Communication at Dumfries and Galloway College, specializing in Graphic Design, Brand Identity, and Marketing. I’ve always loved learning new things, constantly pushing to improve and open up new opportunities. I started HeadPrintDesign in 2023 after experimenting with media for a clothing brand idea, where I used my own thumbprint as part of the branding, which became a unique way to express myself as the brand. In June 2024, I joined Jamieson Brothers as a Graphic Designer/E-Commerce Agent, learning new software like Magento, Helium 10, Shopify, and Amazon, and working on projects like redesigning their Amazon storefront and creating A+ content to boost sales. My passion for learning and my drive to gain more experience makes me eager to connect and help others along the way, while also growing in my own career.

Graphic DesignerJamieson Brothers Jun 2024 - Sep 2024I started working at Jamieson Brothers in June 2024, bringing with me all the experience I’d gained in graphic design, social media, and marketing. Since then, I’ve developed a unique and successful photography style that has been consistently applied across both new and existing products, giving the brand a cohesive and modern look. I’ve also taken on the role of managing our print sheets, from uploading designs to printing and cutting them to the perfect size. Over my time here, I’ve created several new print sheets for the products we’ve brought in, ensuring everything aligns with our branding and quality standards.Alongside that, I’ve worked with a variety of listing platforms, including Magento, Amazon, eBay, Kingfisher, and B&Q, allowing me to expand my expertise in e-commerce. When there’s downtime, I make sure to find new ways to contribute, whether it’s optimizing older listings to reach their full potential or researching new products that would connect well with our customers. I’m always coming up with fresh ideas and directions to keep the business moving forward.I’ve also played a key role in redesigning the homepage of our website, collaborating with both my team and external companies to create a more user-friendly interface. After that, I took the time to completely redesign our Amazon Storefront, which led to an increase in purchase rates by making the store more professional and inviting. In the short time I’ve been at Jamieson Brothers, I’ve reviewed over 180 products, correcting and completing any missing attributes while optimising listings with top-performing keywords using Helium 10, ensuring we’re always staying ahead in the market. I’ve created another 10 general A+ Content templates that can be used across a range of products, ensuring we maintain consistency while boosting the overall customer experience. These changed haven't only strengthen our product listing but it has also boosted sales across the board. -
Freelance Graphic DesignerHeadprintdesign Jun 2023 - PresentDumfries And Galloway, Scotland, United KingdomI started HeadPrint in 2023 as a college student seeking extra work experience, and it has since grown into a successful side business where I’ve had the opportunity to work with clients like Eat South West Scotland, DGMOTO, Impact Gym, and Short Fuse Collective. My first client, DGMOTO, hired me to create promotional flyers, banners, and branding. For Impact Gym, I developed a complete brand identity and continue to manage their social media, while designing promotional materials such as clothing, pop-up banners, window graphics, and flyers. For Eat South West Scotland, I designed their entire brand, including logos, name badges, pop-up banners, and promotional content. I also worked with Short Fuse Collective, a group of DJs in Glasgow, designing their logo and posters for a rave that attracted over 1,500 attendees. Working with these diverse clients has sharpened my skills in brand development, social media management, and promotional design, all of which I can confidently bring into any future role. My ability to adapt to each client’s needs and consistently deliver high-quality work has been key to the growth of my business, and I look forward to continuing to apply these skills in any job I take on.

ApprenticeBattle Stations Lochmaben Jan 2021 - Apr 2022Lochmaben, Scotland, United KingdomI started working at Battle Stations while I was in my second year of Creative Digital Media, where I was able to secure an apprenticeship as part of my studies. I spent just over a year there, learning to use different software like Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro. During my time at Battle Stations, I gained valuable experience in creating engaging video content for various clients. I’d often go on day trips, filming and taking photos of the different activities happening, as well as interviewing people about their jobs, life experiences, and more. This is also where my journey into Graphic Design really began. I had the chance to assist with larger tasks, like developing brand identities for startups and creating advertisement graphics for companies such as DYW. I was involved in marketing strategies, helping to advertise what Battle Stations offered to both new and returning clients, and working on ideas to boost the company’s revenue.Additionally, another part of my role was building and assembling PCs for customer orders, which was a key aspect of the business. I learned how to build a PC from start to finish without any issues, which gave me a broader skill set and deeper understanding of the technical side of things.
