Having spent 15.5 years in South Africa before moving to New Zealand in 2019 with my family, the transition wasn't easy. Initially faced with challenges like visa restrictions for my brother, my mum re-entering the workforce after two decades, and adjusting to a new school where I knew no one, life gradually turned in our favour. Year 13 at school was memorable, especially as I was appointed Head of Sport Prefect, a role I cherished. Despite leaving school cricket to focus on studies, I had a remarkable opportunity to be a net bowler for the BlackCaps and the Indian cricket teams, where I impressed by taking wickets against top players like Rohit Sharma. This experience fueled my passion for cricket, leading me to play for the Hibiscus Coast Premier Cricket Team under the guidance of a professional coach from the Auckland Aces, Danru. Year 13 also introduced me to business through the Young Enterprise Scheme, where my team created the ChopBloQR, earning recognition and awards despite not making it to regionals or nationals. Now, at 20, I'm leading the FGN Group, exploring my passion for video editing and production alongside my studies in Business Marketing at university, with unwavering support from my family and my wonderful partner, Maddisyn.
