This position is to ensure the timely and accurate provision of professional and technical engineering advice on resource consents (and associated planning applications), building consents and engineering approvals consistent with Council's codes of practice, engineering and infrastructure design standards and other relevant frameworks.

Responsibilities:•Assist project manager to manage project as company’s representative, report site situation to project manager every day.•Keep daily record and site meeting minutes.•Provide technical advice, conduct necessary site inspection to ensure new assets are created to building standard and in accordance with the conditions of engineering approval.•Liaise with consultant and contractors to seek additional •Ensure all necessary information in supplied and provided to applying s224C certification.•Participate in weekly site meeting and escalate any onsite issues to consultant and contractor, and report to project manager regarding to problem-solving progress.•Ensure resource consents, engineering approval and contract items is accurately completed in timely manner.•Apply risk management policies, procedures and practices appropriately.•Undertaking responsibilities as outlined in Company’s health and safety policy and procedures.•Witness water chlorination and pressure test, sewer lateral low pressure test and clegg hammer test on footpath and drive entrance.•Oversee land Subdivision construction process specifically including: Earthwork, Reticulation and layout of services in terms of 3 waters and power/fibre bands, Footpath and driveway and Public roads. •Assist to apply building consent for consequent residential building.•Liaise with architect, surveyor and contractor for resolving issues at first point of contact, escalate any issues to the relevant party. •Organize and Supervise subcontractor to build residential building in accordance with approved drawing.•Conduct necessary site inspection to ensure quality and progress achieved as company’s expectation.•Check quantity claim and budget management.

• Defining scope of works and planning contractor formalities.• Organizing and managing project contractor to implement project schedule and look ahead project programmes.• Conduct quantity surveys, risk assessments and engineering inspections to ensure a high level of quality control and compliance with industry standards. • Onsite Liaison with contractor, designer, and external consultants.• Clarify Construction technical specification to subcontractor to ensure the completed facilities and service complying with engineering approval.• Pertinently revise design plan and layout in light of the site situation by the use of AUTOCAD and Revit.• Engage in site set out, monitor subcontractor labour, organize material / plant delivery and dispensation, providing technical support and record daily log.• Liaise closely with local customs agents, authorities and freight companies to clear and ensure the smooth and timely delivery of imported goods and materials.

• Prepare tender documentation relating to construction projects in Democratic Republic of Congo, including: Hôpital du Cinquantenaire (a 450 bed hospital rehab project valued at US$99.9M). Kinshasa Place de L’independence (a 40,000m2 public square valued at US$19.9M).
