My role at the New Hampshire SPCA was a marketing intern, that worked with the Development Department. The role of the department was to create new fundraising campaign ideas, and help see them to fruition. Over my internship, the COVID-19 pandemic changed the landscape of the work environment I would be operating in. I had to adapt to the new changes the office was undergoing, all while learning the ropes of my new job. Through the internship I was exposed to a customer relation software known as Raiser's Edge. I performed my own digital marketing campaign, collaborating with the digital content creation department, and scheduling social media updates and newsletters with information about upcoming fundraising events. I worked directly with local businesses and their owners, creating comprehensive marketing strategies that would promote fundraising events for the NHSPCA. I performed market research on local businesses, grooming candidates that would be a match for the current and future fundraising events, and established positive relationships among local businesses that can become opportunities for future marketing campaigns.

At Marketing Matters I was tasked with performing background market research on the pharmaceuticals industry. My job was to create presentable information for my employer that can be used to create a marketing strategy for pharmaceutical businesses. The information I was expected to present was predicting consumer trends that would affect certain medication categories. Predict trends of businesses and where they planned to invest their R&D budgets. I had to research government involvement in in the pharmaceuticals industry, specifically any upcoming interventions that would promote research in certain medical fields.
