Started as a young man looking to get the real work experience needed to be successful and stand behind the company's name i worked for with confidence and quality. I was hired at Glendale Steel Supply as a simple yard hand with no experience in a real world work environment. Shortly after working in different areas of the facility i was then trained to run machines used in the daily tasks of steel supply and fabrication. I made nothing but good choices and critical decisions in the areas i was working in and this was being noticed by my higher ups. After 3 years of dominating the outer areas of the facility i was given the opportunity to move my knowledge and hard work ethic into the front office counter sales. This position consisted of assisting the general public walk-ins with guidance on what projects they may be creating and selling the material the company offered. This is where i learned may sales tasks and customer service skills that would do nothing but help me get the experience i needed for future growth. One year had past and i was doing better than expected at the front counter and the owner of the company felt i needed more responsibility and needed to be challenged more in the sales department. I was then promoted to back office where my main goal was to sell large quantities of material and handle very large customer accounts and create relationships with possible customers that would excel our business greatly. This is when i realized i was not going to stop here. The General Manager of the company had went his separate way after many years with the company. At this time there were many responsibility's and accounts that needed to be tend to. I was given these accounts and was now responsible for the employee management and facility's scheduling and production while still focusing on my daily sales. I have stood my ground and continue to do and accomplish all tasks given consistently and thoroughly and i do not plan on stopping here.
