About Ethan Kamphaus

I am currently a postdoctoral researcher at Argonne National Laboratory. My research is currently focused on applying quantum computational chemical methods and modeling tools to explore complicated and interconnected chemistry in different fields. In my postdoctoral research, I am mainly investigating using atomic layer deposition for precise nanofabrication to create materials with enhanced properties as well as studying next generation battery technology. My Ph.D. research focused on using these tools for investigating Lithium-Sulfur battery chemistry.I plan to continue applying computational models and simulations to new systems and further enhance understanding of fundamental properties and processes of chemistry and materials as well as using new techniques to express this information in a useful way.
