    Awarded 2:1 (69%) with a Placement Year For my final year project I demonstrated High Performance Computing Concepts through Raspberry Pi clustering. It consisted of 2 x Pi 3B+, 8 x Zero W, 2 x ClusterHAT's. The system was built on Debian and used protocols such as bridged ethernet and SSH to communicate between the nodes. So all nodes would have access to the same files at run time, a Network File Share (NFS) was setup on an extneral drive and was exported to all nodes. This NFS acted a mini cloud for the cluster as all execution scripts were to be placed into it. To demonstrate the concepts of HPC, three overlays where installed: MPI, SLURM and Kubernetes (K3s). Each had their own reasonings for being installed and provided their own unique concept. A CERN style submission menu built on Python was presented to the user after they SSH into the system, allowing them to submit an array of jobs. A SQL database was then linked to the system, where a user could then login and submit their jobs. Using the menu they could then retrieve the job statistics, including execution time, nodes used, output etc. To monitor the system a webpage was created at boot time on each one of the Pi's was available by using any of their IP's, creating a highly available solution. The monitoring page contained information such as CPU % usage, RAM % Usage, tasks that were being carried out (integrated through HTOP). To test the cluster's MPI and SLURM functionality, a series of jobs were submitted such as Histogram Generation in R, Monte Carlo calcuation in C++ and Python (comparing language execution times). Seeing as the cluster were to deployed in an education setting, for the K3s test, I demonstrated the benefits of redundancy by deploying a Minecraft Server on 2 of the nodes. The player could be in the server and after simulating a node death, the player would not be removed due to the failover node.The files can be seen here - https://github.com/etdoh00
