I am a 2024 graduate from Harpur College at Binghamton University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. I am eager to continue my education and apply my skills and knowledge to help those in the medical realm, as I have been inspired and intrigued by the science responsible for the betterment of people. Growing up as a student athlete, I have had my fair share of injuries that required medical attention. Listening and absorbing what these professionals have recited to me has sparked my passion to help others not only with their medical ailments, but to understand them as well. I have started my career in May of 2021 as a Life guard, at Lakeside Towers Corporation. In this position I was able to acquire my certification in CPR and AED. This position required me to be extremely attentive, make quick and accurate decisions, and being able to cooperate with a team. In May 2022, I shifted positions as a volunteer at Professional Physical Therapy. During my time their I was able to enhance my skill set with skills such as being adaptable, dependable, and the proficiency of knowledge in exercise physiology/ rehabilitation science. More experience was acquired as I was able to secure a job there in May of 2023. During my last semester at Binghamton, I enrolled in a course titled "Practicum in Sports Medicine." In this course I was assigned to volunteer at Southern Tier Physical Therapy and write journal entries of my experiences there. I was able to expand my knowledge of exercise science, rehabilitation science, interpersonal communication, as well as the business aspect behind physical therapy. As of now, I am looking to expand my arsenal of skills and knowledge to be able to apply them to help those in the world.
