Cadet Spatial Technician
CurrentEarth and Water began in 1977, through owner Tim’s passion for the challenge of moving dirt. Over the years he has learnt and crafted his skills, while bringing together a team of equally passionate people. Their 40 years has seen them work for many challenging and interesting projects, alongside a great bunch of customers and colleagues.During my tenure as a Cadet Technician at Earth and Water Technologies, I gained a diverse skill set, encompassing everything from operating heavy machinery to content creation and customer interface design. I successfully operated a range of heavy machinery such as CAT Hydraulic Excavators, CAT Crawler Tractors, and CAT ADTs, particularly during staff shortages. This ensured the smooth continuation of mine pits and field operations. Additionally, I took on digital content production tasks, conducting videography and photography and following through with digital editing to deliver professional content that aligned with the organisation's branding.I also applied my technical and creative skills to enhance our client's experience. I redesigned our client view systems, leading to improved user experience and overall client satisfaction. This was further complemented by my development of new customer portfolios, directly contributing to business growth. To ensure that our field operations remained efficient and precise, I managed and maintained the operating standards for all our GPS equipment. This included performing routine accuracy checks and fine-tuning for optimum performance. Lastly, I innovatively operated drone LIDAR technology for marketing purposes, capturing compelling footage and designing videos that helped strengthen our company's market presence.
