I graduated from Missouri State University in Cooperation with the Missouri University of Science and Technology in December of 2013 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering. I graduated with Summa Cum Laude honors earning a cumulative 4.0 GPA throughout my college career. My civil engineering course work electives mainly focused on geotechnical and construction engineering.While attending college at Missouri State University in Cooperation with the Missouri University of Science and Technology I completed 3 summer internships with the Missouri Department of Transportation as a Construction Intern. During my college years I also worked for Anderson Engineering from March of 2012 to June of 2013 as a field/lab intern. During my time with Anderson Engineering I gained experience in concrete, soil and aggregate testing. Upon graduation I accepted a full time position with MoDOT as Construction Inspector. As a Construction Inspector with MoDOT I have been tasked with the oversight and administration of various transportation construction projects including roadway resurfacing, ADA improvements, and bridge construction. For these various projects I have been in charge of creating and processing change orders, payment estimates, erosion control reports, nonconformance reports, force accounts, and final project documentation. As a Construction Inspector I have also been responsible for making sure that projects are constructed in accordance with specifications while being completed on time and on budget. I have gained experience in construction drawing review and implementation and contractor communication.I am currently employed with Dirks Heavy Contractors as a Construction Engineer. My main responsibilities include estimating and project management for site development and utility improvement projects. My other responsibilities include: design using AutoCAD Civil 3D, quantity takeoffs using Agtek software, project GPS machine control surveying, model building, setup, and implementation using Lecia equipment, GPS RTK drone surveying and analysis using DJI drones and Pix4D software, and estimating using HCSS Heavy Bid. Other responsibilities include making and maintaining meaningful connections with subcontractors, general contractors, project designers, and project owners.
