On top of the Duty Manager responsibilities, as a Facilities Manager I am required to stay on top of any repair and maintenance tasks that arise. If I am unable to fix the issue myself, I will need to contact the required contractor and raise a PO through SAP, while having to ensure the task is completed in a timely manner and to the set standard.

The Duty Manager position requires me to both manage and lead the team/site to ensure each area and team member are performing to the highest standard, while still enjoying their time here and ultimately maximising customer satisfaction. While front of house is important, I also need to stay on top of any back of house management tasks that need to be completed to ensure we are achieving our KPIs.

Used my experience in all areas to help manage and develop the team. This role required me to be the first point of contact if any issues rose that a team member was unsure or not comfortable solving.

Started working in the traditional cinema serving customers, helping them book tickets and upselling food combos. I was also required to manage twelve cinemas, ensuring they are functioning and presented to the set standards. Gradually I was able to increase my skillset when learning Gold Class floor, host, bar and kitchen, which abruptly increased my customer service skills, sense of urgency, critical thinking, communication and adaptability as not only does Gold Class have a much higher standard and expectation to meet, but it is also the busiest concept we have. I was then able to expand my skills into Rocs Social, bar and kitchen, where I officially became the first team member to be trained in all five concepts.
