I have worked at a local restaurant in Columbia, Missouri for almost 5 years. I started out working in the back of the restaurant washing dishes and organizing supply shipments. In two years, I was promoted to work up front as a cook and have been doing so since. In this industry customer service is key, and I have developed skills such as management, networking, and communication. I have also improved my ability to problem-solve on the fly. Many orders can be placed at once and I have to adapt to rapidly changing information. During my time, I have also recommended six different people to work at the restaurant and they have all been hired.
