I am the Design Manager and Renaissance man at Aptar CSP Technologies, a plastics manufacturing company based out of Auburn AL, where I find the line between pleasing aesthetics and manufacturability. I am also the company Solidworks Guru, 3D Printer, metrologist, CNC operator, and a whole host of other duties where I get to operate fun and interesting equipment. Basically, a Jack-of-all-trades and a Master of Industrial Design. My first several years at Aptar, I spent absorbing as much information as possible in regards to plastics manufacturing, mold design, injection molding part design, blow molding part design, and thermoforming part design. In 2019, I also undertook metrology duties for the company, mainly focusing on CT scanning and 3D scanning parts for validation and troubleshooting processes. I really enjoy my time working with others in situations where I am passing down some of the knowledge I learned from my experiences thus far. This includes the partnership my company has formed with Auburn University and our annual design project with the Auburn Industrial Design department. Outside of work, I enjoy restoring, maintaining, repairing, and, of course, playing with pinball machines. I have been doing this since 2019, after a long search for a sustainable hobby. The path to this hobby has included woodworking, photography, videography, drone piloting, and computer building (which is non sustainable in the least bit). So, the title of Renaissance man is applicable in both my professional and personal life.
