They say jack-of-all-trades are masters of none, but I don't think this is quite true. As I would say that versatility is needed of most writers, and I think I fit this description pretty well. Being a junior at GVSU currently studying both Writing and Psychology, I've centered my academic career around learning about forms of writing from the professional to the creative to engage audiences and provide consistent messaging across mediums. Projects in my various courses have taught me how to write in various genre formats. Such as a project where I was tasked with transcribing the experiences of those affected by PFAAS in my professional writing course to a project where I had to write an academic research report on the connection between a student's self-esteem and their belief in their own writing in my consulting with writers course. Jumping between genres and being able to write efficiently and effectively is my specialty.Being passionate about writing, I've taken an internship at Special Olympics Michigan for the summer where I'll be helping launch a new podcast for the organization, writing press releases, telling athletes' stories, and writing web content. Giving me an opportunity to diversify my writing while showcasing my creativity in each task.
