Working in the plank development team within the AESA CDT. Taking a the project from the development phase through to production. Working in this team, some of the key experience has been: - Responsible for taking the screening Can solution from the design phase through manufacturing trials, environmental trials, and implementing it on production drawing sets. - The responsible engineer for taking the PCB to PCA level and finally Plank level. This includes creating drawing sets for PCA manufacture and taking the design through its relevant reviews. - Frequent supplier meetings in order to get a production manufacture solution for PCA build. Fortnightly meetings to achieve completion of development SoW. Frequent contact for PCA drawing set feedback and consultation for an agreed solution. - Supporting lab test of first PoC PCA. Including electrical and RF tests. - Responsible for engineering investigations into engineering issues within the hardware. - Member of the AESA CDT social group.

A four year apprenticeship program completing 2 year rotational placements and 2 year final placement within the electronics department while studying a BEng Hons in Engineering: Design & manufacture at Strathclyde University achieving a 2:1. The first 2 years consisted of 4 month placements in electronics, mechanical, test, QA, supportability, and systems. Learning and implementing all of their respective skills and processes. The final two years were in the electronics department. The first year was in the TRM test team, using Labview and TestStand to create automated test programs. Also spent time using existing programs to test and fault find modules. The last year was in the plank development team the majority of this time was spent taking screening Cans from design through manufacture trials and environmental trials to a production ready solution. I also served as the chair of the Apprentice Governance Group, a member of the Cross-site forum, the representative for the JCC Early Careers Constituency, a STEM ambassador and an Arkwright Mentor.
