As an Engineering Intern with expertise in various CAD software such as OpenRoads, PowerInroads, and Civil3D, my primary responsibility is to assist in the completion of projects related to road design and traffic management. My roles require me to work collaboratively with senior engineers and other team members to develop project designs and create accurate technical drawings using CAD software. I also am responsible for conducting traffic analysis and providing input for the development of traffic management plans.

During my internship at the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LADOTD), I had the opportunity to work with the Transportation Data Management System (MS2) to gather data on continuous counting stations across the state. Using Excel, I analyzed the data and compared traffic volume on various roadways. I also created charts to compare the 2020 data to the 2021 data, which provided valuable insights into the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on traffic patterns for my Co-op project.

During my time at MAP Design Group, I worked on a variety of projects ranging from small residential to large commercial projects. As a member of the design team, my primary responsibilities were to assist in the design and production of technical drawings and 3D models. I utilized AutoCAD and Revit to complete designs and render models for the various projects I worked on. In addition to commercial projects, I also worked on several residential projects where I was responsible for creating technical drawings and 3D models of the building. I also worked on the design of various building components, such as windows, doors, and fixtures. Overall, my experience at MAP Design Group allowed me to develop my skills in AutoCAD and Revit, as well as gain valuable experience in commercial and residential design.
