My passion for physical therapy began at the height of my collegiate cycling career when I developed debilitating knee pain. After attempting multiple training methods and nothing relieving the pain, I went to the doctor who referred me to physical therapy. There were parts of my physical therapy that were extremely painful but the relief that I felt afterwards was amazing. Going through therapy gave me the freedom to train and live life again. During the process, I had a great therapist and was able to ask a lot of questions. This is where my passion for healing started to take place. I realized that I could combine my passion for anatomy and physiology with my passion for helping people. Becoming a physical therapist would allow me to help people in debilitating situations gain their freedom and mobility back just as I did. My experiences in the field of therapy include my internship hours in a physical therapy clinic and my time as a stretch practitioner at Stretch Zone. In both experiences, I have learned valuable interpersonal skills and tequniques for working with the human body.
