I completed my Ph.D. in chemical engineering at Vanderbilt University. My research project focused on the fabrication and characterization of electrospun particle/polymer nanofiber mat electrodes for Li-ion batteries.

Darmstadt, Germany

I completed a 6 month internship at Merck KGaA in Darmstadt, Germany funded partially through the DAAD RISE Professional program. The goal of this position was to prepare electrospun nanofiber catalyst layers for hydrogen/air fuel cells. These electrodes were initially developed in the Pintauro lab at Vanderbilt University. During my time in Germany, I worked alongside a team of dedicated researchers and successfully transferred this electrospinning technology from a lab scale to a commercially scalable nozzle-free electrospinning process.

I worked underneath Dr. Hyun Joon Kong and Dr. Cathy Chu on a biomaterials project to improve bone regeneration gene delivery efficacy.

I worked underneath Dr. William Artz on a project synthesizing gasoline additives to improve engine combustion efficiency.
