My high school employment consisted of receptionist work at EvoReal real estate firm. Here I was able to start the honing of my people and communication skills. Being able to take a customer's needs and direct them to which person in the office fits their needs. Proficiency in Microsoft Office was gained at this job. The next summer I decided to take a landscaping job for Dorean properties where I learned to be a part of a team in a moving workplace. My work ethic started here as sunrise to sundown manual labor teaches you physical strength and mental fortitude. My involvement in ASB, DECA, and AP classes taught me leadership, teamwork, and the value each individual has in small or large groups. This led me to the University of Washington where I have continued my higher education for the past two years. I joined Alpha Sigma Phi fraternity where I have held positions such as VP of Philanthropy. A job that consisted of holding a week-long fundraiser for the Seattle Children's Hospital raising nearly $10,000 by just crowdfunding. To reach that level of donation I used my social media marketing skills to promote our event to not just UW students but to their parents and extended families. Opening up a whole other donation stream. At the same time I was the VP of Growth in 2021 whose duty was to lead 3 other rush chairman in growing the organization. This included contacting hundreds of incoming students, setting up meeting times on Zoom or in person to sell them on why our fraternity was the right fit fo them. I was able to recruit a class that was the largest since 2018 keeping our organization thriving. In the fall of 2021 my peers elected me to become the Vice President of the whole fraternity whose duties included planning all house events, running those events to ensure safety and effectiveness, along with being the person that members could come and speak with if something in the house was bothering them or if they just need someone to talk to about something troubling them. Through all of this I have learned about myself that I am a people person and love interacting with new faces and old friends. I took my current job with the Seattle Mariners because it ties my love for interacting with customers and my passion for baseball. Being able to make a customers day by a small interaction is my hope everytime I clock in.
