As Media and Communications Manager I played a vital role in the photography, social media, digital platform management, content creation, PR and government relations for over 40 events and programs per year. These included: the Hurley Australian Open Of Surfing at Manly; the Vissla Sydney Surf Pro at Manly; the Vissla NSW Pro Surf Series; the Australian Surf Festival and the Australian Boardriders Battle series and National Final. These events included the management of content builders who worked with me to ensure all deliverables were met.Marketing and Campaign Management:My role involved developing the marketing strategies for Surfing NSW. To do so, I analysed target markets and developed a strategic approach through marketing plans, brand guidelines and social media policies to drive key messages to the Surfing NSW audience. These marketing strategies were executed through collateral, including annual reports, website content management (CMS), EDM’s; social media campaigns and (internal and external) print and digital campaigns.Event ManagementI was responsible for the planning and development of high profile international surfing events, including the Vissla NSW Pro Surf Series; the Australian Boardriders Battle series and Rip Curl GromSearch Series.

In 2021 I was the Australian Media Liaison for surfing at the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics. My role encompassed public relations, content creation, media and marketing management and showcasing the Australian Surfing Team (the Irukandjis) to worldwide media as well as working closely with Surfing Australia and the AOC to showcase the sport and the athletes in the best possible light.
