About Ethan Sprague

It’s been said that innovation is the calling card to the future. As someone who has spent his career supporting the energy transition by introducing novel product offerings, I couldn’t agree more. My work has been both challenging and exhilarating, and my passion to accelerate converting to electrification and unlocking customer access to power alternatives has grown exponentially – especially in light of climate change and its impact on every aspect of our lives. I currently serve as the Senior Vice President for Sales, Marketing, and Policy for FreeWire Technologies, a leading innovator in the electric vehicle (EV) charging space. Managing a team of 50+, I work to make these solutions more approachable to clients through informed sales and go-to-market strategies. Building a successful brand around products that are still so new is daunting, but I view it as an opportunity to foster positive change. My optimism has paid off: under my direction, we have launched a spectrum of exciting new products; maintained an annual average 130% increase in revenue over four consecutive years; and ushered Fortune 500 clients into eMobility’s world of endless possibilities. I joined FreeWire after serving as Executive Vice President of Sales and Business Development for Kevala Analytics which, at the time, was a bootstrap start-up. Supporting its mission to provide the energy market a new take on grid intelligence, I drove its first $1M in revenue and secured a DOE award to develop our geospatial data analytics platform. Prior to Kevala, I was recruited by multiple solar energy companies where launching channel sales and forging pro-energy policies was critical. I was proud to champion the passage of energy financing legislation in California, and to work with the state’s Solar Permitting Task Force. The energy landscape is rapidly evolving. I look forward to connecting with others who are equally eager to develop new energy solutions that will lead to a brighter future.
