As a Consulting Utility Forester with PGE, I am responsible for scoping work for tree crews, auditing completed work, mitigating wildfire risk, examining and reporting damage to utility infrastructure as a result of storm conditions, and patrolling utility infrastructure for hazard management. I am also responsible for communicating scope of work and timelines with various stakeholders across the Portland Metropolitan Area, including private homeowners, private businesses, city managers and employees, city foresters, and other public entities. I must frequently update my scope using new parameters including, but not limited to, municipal codes, programmatic permits, new standard operating procedures, and new arboricultural standards.
