Over the past 6 months my team and I have turned a profit by building and maintaining a plus EV model designed to project the winners of professional e-sports events. The model itself is founded on a backbone of XGBoost ML and optimized through genetic algorithms to accomplish hyper-parameter tuning. We have also built a full hosted backend system using SQL to allow us to quickly analyze performance across a vairety of markets and books.
