I was a history major at NKU in 2015. I felt like I was spinning my wheels. I had this lingering sense that I wasn't where I was supposed to be. Due to family health complications, completing college was not an option. I then discovered that I found a deep sense of accomplishment in working with my hands after working in a crate building wood shop at FIVES Machining systems for several years after my departure from NKU. In 2017 my girlfriend and I purchased our first home. We found within the first few months that it had a MAJOR water problem. After receiving several quotes that as a 23 year old working in a wood shop; I would never have been able to accomodate, in combination with that amazing feeling of self worth and accomplishment from completing a project with my hands. I became a plumber. I have been plumbing with Ben Franklin Plumbing since 2018. From childhood, life experience has taught me that this life is what I make it. I will not fail.
