I am a recent graduate from a Politics and International Relations degree at Buckinghamshire New University. I am seeking to shape the political environment around me by providing my knolwedge climate change and its effects on British Politics, aswell as providng my knowledge on national and global poltical affairs. Futhermore, I am a genuinely friendly and caring person; I am also happy to hold a conversation and would be abel to engage and deal with colleagues and political stakeholders who have competing interests. This is becuase of my experience in volunteering for the Watford Community Sports&Education Trust in raising money for a disabled football team to go to Barcelona for a tournament, where I had to work in a team and listen to differenst perespectives other than my own and be able to voice my opinions aswell. In addition, working as a Customer Assistant at Tesco further enhanced my verbal communication skills becuase I developed the ability to adapt to various audiences as I had to speak to customers from different age ranges and guide them to the items they need. Furthermore, I have excellent organisation skills and I pay attention to detail, which I dsiplayed when I worked at Tesco and was stacking the shelves, I had to know which items were the best sellers and pritorise stacking the shelves of those items first before i stacked the rest.Furthemore, during my degree at University I have developed some experience at Policy wriiting in my Criminal Justice Policy module, where I had to write a policy brief adressed to the British Government about the key issue of high reoffending rates from short sentences which is causing strain to the Criminal Justice System. In which I explaianed the issue in drawing on relevant sources and providing solutions by comparing the current use of short sentences in England and Wales to more effective policies used in other countries and illsutrating the need of a policy transfer to provide a more effective solution at miitgating reoffending. Moreover, as I was studying for my degree I have become poltically astute as the modules I have studied have increased my knoledge on the various politcal issues affecting us today such as Cliamte Change and Sustainability and the need to meet net-zero targets by 2050 by drastically reducing our carbon output such as in Transport, by analysing methods we can use to de-carbonise the transport system and still meet the needs of the people.
