I spent three years working in BYU's cleanroom as an undergraduate researcher. During this time, I used cleanroom processes to fabricate microfluidic devices designed for nanopore technology. These devices provided a framework for nanopores to detect individual bacteria or virus cells. I often collaborated with graduate students and other research assistants to accomplish research objectives. Reports were made to the supervising professor weekly. During my employment, I spearheaded new research into using microfluidic structures to cool microchips with water evaporation. As a part of that research, I designed three masks using Klayout and had them fabricated in-house. Additionally, the research involved fabricating microchip devices, experimenting with the microchip's cooling capabilities, and analyzing data. I also oversaw multiple researchers collaborating with me on this project.I also trained many individuals in cleanroom processes such as plasma etching, PECVD, wet etching, oxide growth in furnaces, photolithography, mask alignment, and mask layout.

Work PCB Mill, Laser Cutter, and 3D printer. Troubleshoot different engineering class projects. Help students find different products. Maintain the cleanliness of the shop. Check out customers when needed.
