Camp Good Days is a not-for-profit organization founded to give children who are facing life challenges the chance to enjoy a week as a normal kid. Each week is a different program, geared for kids with common problems. Weeks included those who have cancer; are infected or affected by HIV/AIDS; suffer from domestic violence; lost a family member to violence; are part of the foster care system; have a family member who is infected with or lost to cancer.My responsibilities included:• Ropes Course Assistant (2010) I worked in the Project Adventure Ropes Course and Rock Wall for the camp. Respnsibilities included belaying, managing zip-lines, running games, and maintaining the equipment. • Lifeguard (2009-2010) This included lifeguarding at the pool and the lake.• Cabin Liaison (2009) As a not-for-profit organization Camp Good Days relies on volunteers to work with the kids.
