One of the most important lessons I’ve learned in life is that experience is the best teacher. No action, job, or responsibility is truly learned until one actually goes out and does it. That is the only way you can truly know what you can really do.As a student leader at San Diego State University, I’ve truly gotten to understand what it is like to multi-task, work in a fast paced environment, and be very organized with my time and schedule. Whether it be creating and running programs, meeting with residents, or building community, I have found many ways to stay involved in team setting while holding up my end individually. From this I have also developed skills for marketing myself and my involvements which I have found quite useful as I continue to pursue my degree in Marketing. One of my best qualities is my ability to learn at a fast pace, which is one reason I thrive in a fast paced environment. If I do something once, I’ve got it down and ready to move and learn again. I feel comfortable when there are many responsibilities on my plate because it keeps my mind active and constantly thinking. I always try to work smart and hard so I can get the most done. I treat exercise the same way whether it be mountain biking, basketball, or long jump, I love practicing to always get better.
