Eagle Engineering is a school robotics club that offers intensive apprenticeship and teamwork for students to learn robotic engineering. I work with coaches, mentors, and teammates around 20 hours a week to develop skills, including fabricating, building, designing, engineering, analyzing, problem solving, etc. My role as the robot designer and builder is to innovate VEX\VRC robots. I attend the robot team meetings to discuss new ideas for improving our robot and to solve the problems that our robot has.

The Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) offers a selective summer program to high achieving students who are passionate about Engineering. This one-week program includes a number of hands-on engineering and construction activities under the mentorship of engineering professionals and uniform service members. The activities include several design challenges and sports competitions such as:(1) Designing, constructing and destructive testing of concrete beams(2) Building functional cardboard boats to be raced in relay races(3) Construction and testing of a remotely operated underwater vehicleThrough these interesting activities, I learned about the theory of building an underwater vehicle,which can receive a signal in the water. I also learned the structural design and physics of making a cardboard boat that will float in the water and decrease the speed of sinking.
