In the University of Potsdam's BabyLab, we used various behavioral procedures to investigate the psycholinguistic capabilities of small children. My master's thesis explored the parallels between speech and action processing in 12-month-old infants. Using eye-tracking to capture gaze data, experiments attempted to disentangle the roles of bottom-up and top-down processing in the segmentation of continuous action.

Under the supervision of Dr. Ralf Kurvers, I worked with researchers on various studies in the Center for Adaptive Rationality, which focuses on collective decision making in humans and animals. Though I wore many hats during my time at the institute, a few of my roles in particular were the most fulfilling.First, for the teenage decision making study, Swarm Intelligence, I was in charge of participant recruitment and communication, as well as stimuli selection and questionnaire development. Second, I co-created the annotation process for the SciBeh.org knowledge base, during which time I curated over 1,300 behavioral science and COVID-19 related items to assist with governmental and scientific pandemic response. Lastly, I was able to enhance my data analysis skills with R Studio by organizing and aggregating data sets for future use.

As an individual outside sales professional I managed my own clients from the initial conversation to the closing of a sale, as well as any maintenance thereafter. I was tasked with learning about the intricacies of credit card processing, how this industry affects the card holders and the businesses that take credit cards. Developing relationships and establishing rapport were crucial to this process.In addition to managing my clients, I guided a newly appointed Relationship Manager through his first appointments and helped him gain a better understanding of the roll as his Territory Manager.
