I worked with AVN Corp. starting in May of 2022 as a software development intern and transitioned to part-time once school had started. I transitioned to a full-time position shortly after graduation. During this time, I've worked on several different areas include bash scripts, Kubernetes, Docker, and using Python to automate tasks.

I was tasked with helping students succeed and understand course objectives in CS230 at WVU (Introduction to Software Engineering). This was a web development and software engineering course course in which, along with agile framework topics and general software engineering practices, worked with both front and back-end web development. This helped students learn how to create an attractive, yet functional, website in which they must use data binding and incorporate databases to simulate real world development.My job was to help students who are in need, providing two, two-hour sessions per week over Zoom for students to come ask questions or work alongside me in case they develop questions while they're there. Along with this, I graded assignments and would provide the students with useful feedback to promote future success and give them a clear and concise path to excel in the remainder of the course.

I was in charge of making sure each customer had a great experience- one that would make them want to come back to our location. I really enjoyed the relationships I made with my customers, and I think they made my day better as much as I hope I did for them. Along with this, I also was in charge of making sure everything was presentable and clean. Furthermore, I had to handle large sums of money and work with solving complicated problems with smart solutions if anything were to happen that was unexpected while I was on the clock.

I offered paid, private tutoring to four clients while also giving them the ability to have free sessions if they find excitement or inspiration from a topic or need help with smaller assignments. In my opinion, this was a great decision as not only do my clients not have to find the money to get the help they need, but I benefit as well by constantly refreshing on topics I've previously learned. Through my interest in AI, some of my clients have had me go over basic AI/ML concepts, and hoping to spark their imagination and creativity, I also refuse to charge for that as well. With this said, most tutoring sessions involve Java, Python, Matlab, or C (with a few exceptions, such as Typescript), and topics can range anywhere from data encryption to working with databases and general backend to data structures and their unique intricacies.
