Developed control specification (control narratives) documentation for client approval. Assessed Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) for control and instrumentation changes and analyzed drafting teams’ drawings. Created low-voltage (up to 480V) electrical control, panel, loop sheets, I/O, and ethernet-based network drawings. Coordinated with team members, instituted programs for Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), and developed Human-Machine Interface (HMI) for operations. Simulated testing plans and PLC programs, supervised construction of electrical controls at client sites, verified correct installation, and provided technical support. Executed I/O checkout on installed systems, documented checkout results, and determined required goals were achieved in integration. Supported post-commissioning for client’s operations, engineering, and maintenance personnel. Coordinated drive systems and constructed instrumentation devices, including control valves, motors, servos, variable frequency drives, and Stratix switches.Key Accomplishments:• Collaborated with Lead Engineers and various coworkers in the integration of automation in manufacturing plants; furthermore, improved automation results, reduced machine downtime, and increased efficiency.• Reduced troubleshooting and made machines easier to maintain by removing obsolete, expensive parts.• Adjusted schedule and temporary relocated as needed for onsite testing and to successfully complete projects.
