CurrentExtensive understanding of Mining and Environmental Law:- Providing regulatory advice on the Mineral and Petroleum Resources Development Act, 28 of 2002, as amended (“MPRDA”)- Providing regulatory advice on the National Environmental Management Act, 107 of 1998, as amended(“NEMA”) and the Environmental Impact Assessment Regulations, as amended, promulgated under the NEMA- Undertaking regulatory appeals in terms of the MPRDA and NEMA- Participating in transactional matters, including the drafting environmental and mining due diligence reports- Conducting environmental legal compliance audits- Drafting various commercial Agreements- Advising on changes to environmental and mining legislation which has been promulgated in-line with the “One Environmental System”
