I am an adjunct professor of music technology, education and theory at NYU, Montclair State University, and The New School. I have a PhD in music education from NYU. As a founding member of the NYU Music Experience Design Lab (musedlab.org), I have taken a leadership role in the development of various technologies for music learning and expression, most notably the Groove Pizza. Together with Will Kuhn, I am the co-author of Electronic Music School: Empowering Student Creativity, published by Oxford University Press. I lead professional development sessions for schools across the US on music technology, creativity, and decolonizing the curriculum, and my writing is assigned in college syllabi around the world.
